You may have seen already but if you didn’t then you’ll be glad to hear that the UK government officially ended all travel restrictions on the 18th of March 2022! Obviously, that makes ‘now’ the perfect time to get away and enjoy a holiday (or two!). But after 2 years of potentially not travelling, you’ve got to decide where you are going to go, what you are going to do whilst you’re there, and check if other countries still have travel restrictions. Well don’t worry, here at InsuraTrip we’ve got you covered with all the information you need when travelling this Easter.

Long haul adventures

If you’re looking for some far away travels this Easter then have we got some options for you!

Dubai

Dubai for instance has lots to offer this Easter. You could spend your afternoon whizzing through the desert on a 4x4 safari, or maybe enjoy the Aquaventure waterpark. Prefer something a bit calmer? How about Glow-in-the-Dark Mini Golf? Whatever it is you are looking for, you’ll definitely be able to find it in Dubai. With iconic hotels, huge malls, one of the world’s largest aquariums, indoor theme parks and an underwater zoo, we are sure you will have an amazing time, so much so I’m considering travelling to Dubai myself!

Thailand

Looking further east, you could always travel to Thailand. You would have to travel quite a bit further than if you were travelling to Dubai, an extra 4.5 hours on average, but Thailand does offer spectacular nightlife, cheap expenses when you are there (for example food, drink, and transport costs) as well as beaches that will make your jaw drop. Often hailed a backpacker’s paradise, Thailand is sure to make you want to return not long after you leave.

Caribbean

If you would rather head the other direction, then why not consider the Caribbean? If you do decide to travel here, then you will be welcomed by near-guaranteed fine weather as it is nearing the end of peak season in the Caribbean! That goes for all the islands, including Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, and St Lucia. Something you have to try and do whilst you are here is charter a boat. Chartering a boat will allow you to sail the seas and see the incredible coastlines. If you are lucky enough to find them, you could end up seeing some hidden spots on your way that are only accessible from the water... Please be careful if you decide to travel here between June and November as it is hurricane season in the Caribbean during this time.

Hawaii

Similarly, Hawaii is another excellent choice if you are looking to get far away from the UK this Easter. The Aloha state is made up of several islands, namely Oahu, Maui, and the island of Hawaii and the state is famed for its palm tree laden beaches, volcanic landscapes, and rich culture. This one is definitely a bucket list destination and one that will make your friends green with envy when they see those holiday pics!

Morocco

Have you ever thought about visiting Morocco? Well, this gem just south of Spain and at the top of the African peninsula, is a country that will offer you bags of culture. Spend your day exploring the markets in Marrakesh where you can walk through the maze of streets and find all sorts of things for sale, such as rugs, jewellery, and pottery to name a few. You are also sure to stumble across street performers like snake charmers or fortune tellers on your adventure and if you fancy venturing outside of the city walls then you can ride camels through the desert or trek the Atlas Mountains.

Cuba

Are you a fan of vintage cars? Then what better place to explore than Cuba! Take a trip round Havana in a vintage car and be in awe of the beautiful buildings. And for those of you old enough to, you can enjoy some Cuban Cigars in their natural home. Afterwards, be sure to relax on the beaches of Playa Blanca or see the sea turtle conservation farm which is a popular sea turtle nesting site!

We hope wherever you choose to go and whatever you decide to do, that you have a fantastic Easter and enjoy finally being able to travel again!
